The Mararal International Camel Derby is an annual global event that takes place at Mararal town, a simple dusty town set on a hillside in Samburu County, Kenya.
It’s a race that brings together riders and spectators from near and far with a subject role of mobilizing the communities to peaceful existence.
The positive promotion of peace and harmony among the communities in the northern frontier makes it a must attend for Ahambi tours and we will always organize a trip here as soon as the actual dates in every year are communicated.
Happening in mid-year and mostly around the month of august, it’s a rare treat if you are on a holiday in east Africa around this time of year. From camel riding, bike race and a 10 km race, the town also bustles with traditional dances and this makes it more of a cultural show of its kind for real.
