His knowledge, expertise and good vibes made our hike the highlight of our kenya trip.... read more He was happy to teach us about the flora, fauna and Kenya more generally - and show us where to wait out of the cold wind at the summit while the sun rose. The team of porters and our chef made sure we were comfortable and well fed with delicious food every day.

As the budget option, we were collected from our hotel in Nairobi and then accompanied to Nanyuki via public bus, and a similar thing happened on the way back. It’s an express bus and it’s not an issue, just worth being aware.

I would happily recommend Eldad and go with him and Ahambi Tours again!

We were a family of 6 with the oldest being 59yrs and the youngest being 8yrs. Our Trip was 5-day Mount Kenya hike using the Chogoria route as recommended by both the agent and our friend. We all made it to the summit which was a great achievement as a family, all credit to the great team at the mountain.

After the hike, we went on a 11 days Wildlife safari which was exemptional, Kenya is a beautiful county with supper wildlife experience. We must do the Safari again in the near future. I highly recommend Kenya for anyone planning for a wildlife safari.

The timely response and well-articulated answers to our email gave us a lot of confidence in them on top of this they gave us a very practical proposal for our 16 days in Kenya which was to include Mt. Kenya trekking, Wildlife safari, and a visit to Diani Beach.

Upon arrival at the Airport, it was the first time to experience the agent in person. we were welcomed to Kenya by Jane who gave a brief introduction to our trip to Kenya. By this, we could tell we were in good hands.

Our first visit was a 5-day Mt. Kenya trek using the Sirimon to Chogoria route which was recommended to us by the agent mainly due to the weather conditions at the mountain during that time as it was the only route with accommodation in huts. for sure camping would have been next to suicide based on how the weather was at that time. Our guide was Eldada and I have to say the guy has what it takes for his job, is very knowledgeable about the mountain and Kenya, professional, and very caring. Our chef was Samuel, Thanks a lot for the delicious and a lot of meal that you gave us, we miss the soup which was served every day. To the rest of the team in the mountains thanks a lot for everything.

Next was our 8-day Safari. We visited Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboseli and Tsavo. This was perfectly planned and our tour guide Fred who was also the driver made it even more enjoyable. All the big five are in our memory cards. I have to say the Safari was Amazing, I can't imagine how one country has all this beauty.

Diani Beach; This was the climax of our visit to Kenya and we had very quality time at the beach.

I found Eldad through another guide. Eldad is an experienced, knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy mountain guide. We decided to summit Point Lenana via Sirimon. I’m an experienced hiker who’s done many mountains around the world and put thousands of miles on my hiking boots but the night before the summit push at Shiptons, I got terribly sick for no obvious reasons. I woke up Eldad in the middle of the night and he decided we descend a couple hundred meters to be safe. He was extremely responsive and supportive along with his crew. He managed to get a fire going in freezing temperatures to keep us warm and he insisted I don’t leave my tent until I feel better. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to go back and summit Lenana because my flight from Nairobi was in less than 24 hrs but the experience I had with Eldad on the trails is definitely one to always be remembered.   Went up sirimon and down chogoria. Not sure how I’d never herd of mount kenya until I was finalizing my trip as it’s an absolute beauty of a mountain. Definitely... read more the coolest place I’ve been in my life. Saw all sorts of birds, beasts and plants. The guides were all amazing as well and the food was in all honesty the best we’d had in our 2 months in kenya before we started our hike. They’ve really mastered their work and know just about everything on the mountain. I’d say anyone who’s decently fit can do it pretty easily, especially if you pay for porters (we didn’t but the ones we saw were absolute units, fellas were carrying a whole town on their back for some of the more leisurely hikers like it was nothing). If you have a negative experience on this mountain with this company it’s on you. Our guides went above and beyond, and even took us on some extra little side hikes on the way back. Also if you fish bring a pole. Chogoria side has soooo many trout. Still mad I didn’t bring mine. Overall 10000% worth the money, went on a small safari but in my opinion this was much cooler.
