Day 1: Nairobi – Sirimon Gate (2,610m) – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)

Depart Nairobi at 7:30 AM for Nanyuki, the base for your Mount Kenya trek. Meet your crew, then drive to Sirimon Gate for park registration. Begin hiking through the drier northern slopes, passing open forest and wildlife such as monkeys, antelope, and unique bird species. The trail gradually ascends into the giant heath zone, reaching Old Moses Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Old Moses (3,300m) – Shipton’s Camp (4,200m)

After breakfast, trek through heath and moorland into the stunning afro-alpine zone, spotting giant lobelias, groundsels, and high-altitude birds. Cross scenic valleys including Mackinder’s Valley with spectacular views of Batian and Nelion peaks.
